Pre-Assessment The patient visits the eyeclinic for a thorough eye examination by our Consultant Ophthalmologist.
The data collected at the preassessment is crucial for the success of the surgery.
The examination takes approximately 90 minutes and the vision may be blurred afterwards.
Patients should not drive afterwards. The Pre-assessment Includes:
1. Wavefront Scan of the eyes
2. Testing vision with and without correction/glasses. 3. Examination of the lids and eyes. 4. Checking intraocular pressure to test for glaucoma. 5. Testing for dry eyes. 6. Measurement of pupil size. 7. Measurement of corneal thickness with ultrasound-pachymetry. 8. Scanning of the eye surface with Orbscan (by Bausch&Lomb) 9.
